Empova provides evidence-based dietetic care for adults with complex weight and metabolic concerns, with in-person consultations in Unley (Adelaide) and telehealth available across Australia. Care is delivered in coordination with GPs and the broader healthcare team to support structured, clinically guided management.

Patients Suitable for Dietitian Referral
Patients who may benefit from referral to a dietitian for weight management and metabolic health include:

Elevated cholesterol or triglycerides
Fatty liver disease (MASLD/NAFLD)

Following referral, patients undergo a comprehensive assessment including:
Review of relevant medical history, medications, and investigations
Assessment of nutrition patterns, movement, sleep, and lifestyle factors
Exploration of weight history and previous approaches
Identification of key metabolic and behavioural drivers influencing progress
Care plan development
An individualised care plan is developed and implemented with structured follow-up and review.
All care plans are tailored to the patient's clinical context, capacity, and long-term sustainability.
Communication With Referring Clinicians
Where requested, reports are provided following the initial consultation and at key review points to support coordinated care.

Scope of Practice
Empova operates within Accredited Practising Dietitian scope of practice.
Nutrition and lifestyle interventions only
Medical management remains under GP or specialist care
Patients are referred back to their GP where medical review is indicated
