Meet Shanti
Lead Dietitian at Empova Health
I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian specialising in weight management and metabolic health.
I work with people who want to improve their health, but feel unsure about what actually needs to change to achieve their goals. Weight loss may feel harder than expected, health markers may have started to shift in the wrong direction, or the amount of conflicting nutrition advice out there may have made knowing what to do next unnecessarily complicated.
My role is to help make sense of it.
I combine evidence-based nutrition with practical, individualised strategies built around your health, goals and lifestyle — so improving your health doesn't have to take over your life.

Improving weight and metabolic health takes more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Weight loss ultimately depends on energy balance, but the lived reality of achieving and maintaining it is influenced by much more than intake alone. Appetite, sleep, stress, motivation, habits, medications, health conditions, social situations and day-to-day routines can all affect how easy or difficult change feels — while metabolic health involves an even broader picture.
I don't believe improving your health should require crash diets, cutting out food groups or eating perfectly. Before making recommendations, I want to understand what life actually looks like for you — your health, goals, routines, eating patterns, what you've already tried and what has made change difficult in the past. From there, we can focus on the changes most likely to make a meaningful difference.
The goal isn't a perfect diet for a few weeks. It's progress you can maintain.
A broad foundation in clinical dietetics.
My experience as a dietitian spans acute hospital care, outpatient practice and preventative health.
Hospital settings
I have worked as a Clinical Dietitian in hospital settings, supporting people with a broad range of health conditions and complex nutritional needs while collaborating closely with medical and allied health teams.
Outpatient and preventative health
My experience also includes outpatient and preventative health settings, helping people better understand their health and translate nutrition advice into practical changes that support long-term well-being.
Together, these experiences have shaped the way I practise today — combining a strong clinical foundation with an understanding that nutrition advice needs to be realistic, individualised and able to fit into everyday life.
